Do you take insurance?
Yes. At this point, we only take MaineCare. But we are working hard to go in-network with a wide range of payers, as well as to work out a contract with Maine’s Office of Behavioral Health to accommodate clients who are uninsured and don’t qualify for MaineCare.
Are you religious?
No, The Courage Center is a secular state-licensed clinical agency.
Is your program for men, women, or both?
Our program is open to all adults over the age of 18 in recovery for substance use disorder. We offer separate men’s and women’s sober housing.
Do you prescribe medication?
Yes, The Courage Center has providers on-site who can prescribe medication. Our providers work with a wide range of medications for substance use disorder, including buprenorphine (both oral and injectable), naltrexone, and acamprosate, and they work diligently with participants to find what works best for them.
Can I drink or drug while I’m in the IOP program?
The Courage Center prohibits participants from using benzodiazepines, amphetamines, and cannabis.
